Ever feel like you need a little haven, away from everyday life? A space to clear your head and escape, or maybe just a nice spot to entertain a friend. You could do what Bob's done and build your own outdoor cabin, a living room in your back garden!
Keep scrolling to see how he did it...
Bob started with some V-Jointed Cedar (courtesy of Quay Timber) and set to work constructing the skeleton of the shed using c16 carcassing, adding a step and an overhang to the front of the structure. An OSB roof was added and combined with Kingspan insulation to make the cabin habitable all year round. The cedar wood provided a hardy yet attractive material to ensure that the shed would remain standing and in good condition for years to come. (For even longer lasting results, you could apply some Ronseal decking oil)
The modern shed can be hooked up with all manner of technological gadgets. Bob has invested in electronic blinds, led outdoor lighting and, of course, a sweet flatscreen TV!
