Customer Projects

Lawns and Borders and Hot tubs

One of our long-time customers and friend from Lawns and Borders, Lewis, has shared a few pictures of his luxurious hot tub setup. A little hideaway tucked in his back garden reveals a great chillout spot for the summer evenings.

He's started with a little deck platform built from Quay TImber's redwood decking. Our 2.4 metre and 3 metre lengths were perfect for the smaller space. Our C16 easi-edge carcassing provided a sturdy but affordable framework for the boards to sit on.

Summer House Inspiration

Summerhouse inspiration

In the depths of winter, it’s good to look wistfully towards the future. Start planning barbeques, picnics and home improvements!

Summerhouses are great little additions to the home. They are aesthetically pleasing, simple and functional. They can be used for shade from the sun and shelter from the breeze, or properly insulated could even house electronics and pool tables.

The Christmas Tyne Winter Village

Today we dropped off a stack of fencing and carcassing to the Christmas Tyne Winter Village right next to the Millennium Bridge. The dazzling festive wonderland is the most recent attraction on the Quayside, making the most of local businesses. Every stall, food van and tent being brought in from within three miles of the Quayside.

XB Bespoke designs

Local Bespoke furniture maker Sam Crosby trades under XB design. Just up the road from Quay Timber, Sam works out of a workshop on Stepney Road and fits right into the bustling creative culture of the Ousburne.

Sam specialises in wooden furniture design, creating fantastically unique and rustic looking pieces which really stand out when placed next to any old standard Ikea tat.

The Chopwell Regeneration Project

Ir8 Bespoke have been teaming up with the Chopwell Regeneration Group to build a number of little red planter to place around the village. These planters will provide some much-appreciated foliage to many spots picked out specifically by the people of Chopwell.

To build the planters, Ir8 design, with the help of some locals, used some standard fencing material, using some of Quay Timber’s 6-inch fence boards and 38x75 fence rails.
